Dr. Jeong Jung-mi, director of the Minish Institute, celebrated her 10th anniversary. "It's hard to believe that it's been 10 years already," she said, adding that it's been a pleasure to see the dreams that President Kang Jung-ho told her become a reality one by one.

He started as an open member of TODAY Dentistry's Apgujeong branch and has been with the organization ever since. One of his most memorable moments along the way was when the lab expanded from six floors to five. "It was the closest I've ever been to seeing the hospital grow," he says, "and it meant a lot to me to be a part of that change."

Mr. Kang's management philosophy is one of the reasons he has been able to stay with the company for 10 years. "I was impressed by the way he always dreamed and turned his dreams into reality," Chung recalls, "and it gave me a broader perspective in the technology- and production-oriented field of stitching."

He has also seen the workshop change over the past decade. In the past, one person had to be in charge of all processes, but now, he explained, each process is systematically divided into specialized personnel, which has increased both efficiency and completeness. The diversity in size and composition of the workforce has also increased the capacity of the entire organization.

Mr. Chung, who is in charge of final quality check (QC), finds training very rewarding. "I enjoy having the right people in the right place, creating the operational roadmap for the machine shop and motivating the team," he says, adding, "I feel like we are a growing organization every day."

He also has a message for younger workers. "There are still a lot of outside workshops with poor working conditions," he said, "so I have a dream to build a workshop that everyone wants to join, a 'Google or Samsung of the workshop industry.

The company's goal is to go global. "The number of requests for production at overseas MMCs is steadily increasing," he said, adding, "Japan in particular is technically challenging due to the large number of false teeth, but if we develop a specialized overseas team to cater to various styles, we can become a truly global machine shop.

"You can never achieve a dream like this on your own, and I believe Minish is the organization that will give you a springboard to make it a reality. If you keep moving forward as steadily and wholeheartedly as you are now, it won't be long before it becomes a reality."
