Minish Technology, a healthtech company, today announced the successful completion of the 18th Minish Course for dentists in the United States.
The three-day course was held May 8-10 at the VITA North America training center in Orange County, California, USA. The course is eligible for American Dental Association Continuing Education credits and was the second full-day course of the year.
Minish Technology held a Minish seminar in West Hollywood last May and the first North American Minish course in October.
The Minish Course is an official training program that must be completed in order to treat with the tooth restoration solution ‘Minish’. It consists of theoretical education on Minish treatment based on biomimetic theory and practical training on preparation, scanning, bonding, occlusion, and setting. Up to the 18th edition, 446 students have completed the course.
Dr. Reuben Kim, Associate Dean of the UCLA School of Dentistry, a leading authority in the field of conservative dentistry, joined us for the entire course. As a Korean-American, Dr. Kim has been a bridge between the Korean-American dental community and the U.S. dental community, and has developed an academic affinity with Minish’s pursuit of minimally invasive conservative treatments.
Local minishop providers also attended the networking event to share their clinical experiences.
There are 10 North American provider dental offices: 8 in California, 1 in Illinois, and 1 in British Columbia, Canada. As of May, there are 108 Minish Provider dental clinics worldwide, including 44 in South Korea, 53 in Japan, 10 in North America, and one in Singapore.
“Minish has changed my perception of the patient population,” says Ghina Morad, DDS, president of Redwood City, CA, “I used to not recommend veneers to younger patients because I didn’t want to remove healthy teeth, but with Minish, which is a conservative treatment, I would.”
A representative from Minish Technology said, “We have stably held the US Minish Course for the second time and are in the process of expanding our presence in the local market.” “We plan to expand our cooperation with local dental universities and dental companies to build academic credibility and business foundation at the same time,” he said.
