The Osaka consultation, which was organized in collaboration with a travel agency to raise awareness of Minish and attract Japanese patients, yielded significant results. On September 27, nine out of 10 people who had their first appointment on the first day opted for the Minish treatment. They will visit the Minish Ecosystem Hospital in Korea through Daseong Travel Agency.

What made this consultation special was that the director himself traveled to the site, unlike previous consultations, which were usually conducted by the head of the consultation center, this time the director himself explained Minish to Japanese patients to see how they reacted. It was the first opportunity to experience the potential of the Japanese market firsthand.

The response on the ground exceeded expectations. Japanese patients were highly aware of dental imbalances and demanded premium care. In fact, many people came in for tooth alignment issues. Minish is competitively priced in the Japanese dental market, so cost resistance was low.

We also identified a potential customer base. In Japan, passport ownership is low and international travel for medical treatment is not common. As a result, only a few patients have visited Minish provider hospitals in the country so far.

But for potential customers who know Minish but can’t travel to Korea, the local consultation was an opportunity to experience and understand it firsthand.

Of course, there were challenges. Since Minish is not immediately recognizable as a skin procedure or obesity treatment, we had to explain the basic concept during the consultation process. Japanese patients were cautious, comparing it to other treatments such as braces.

However, considering that it is in the early stages of entering Japan, it is likely to improve with active promotion and spreading awareness.

The Osaka consultation was a great success thanks to the thorough preparation of Dr. Jaehee Jang, KyungAh Choi, and Jisoo Jung. We were able to see both the possibilities and challenges by experiencing the reactions of Japanese patients up close.

The next round of consultations will be expanded and perfected based on this experience. We will create a strong presence for Minish in the Japanese market.
