On September 4, Chef Choi hosted a dinner for more than 50 people, including medical staff and employees of Minish Dental Hospital, to thank them for their care.
The dishes served at the central accelerator table of Chef Choi’s Seongsu-dong restaurant, including yukhoe and raw shrimp, as well as the creative combination of jajang sauce and truffles… were unfamiliar but intense.
The food was experimental and sophisticated in a way that you don’t often get to taste, and the constant research and passion for food was palpable.
Lee Jung, the attending physician, greeted Chef Choi and gave him a bouquet of flowers, and Chef Choi went around to every table, introducing the food and recommending wines. Witty and sweet. I could see why he is one of Korea’s leading chefs.
Chef Choi said, “I’m grateful for a good smile because I usually can’t show my teeth and smile brightly.” He added, “Mini Shi Dental Hospital seems to be a healthy hospital that treats even sick and wobbly
teeth. I will take good care of it in the future.”
