An interview with Minish Technology CEO Jung Ho Kang was published in Authority Magazine, an American economic and business magazine.
Authority Magazine features insights from global leaders in business, technology, and more. In this interview, which focuses on the “5 Elements of a Successful Dentist Career,” Dr. Kang discusses how Minish Veneers was born, its global expansion plans, and his values as an entrepreneur.
Kang recalls that the question, “Should we sacrifice healthy teeth for beauty?” was the genesis of Minish.
“I developed Minish Veneers to overcome the past limitations of having to choose between beauty and dental health,” he said, referring to South Korea in the late 2000s, when the laminate craze made tooth removal commonplace. “It is my mission and the value I want to pass on to the world to give people a confident smile while preserving their natural teeth through this technology, which is now being implemented in 75 hospitals around the world.”
As for global market expansion, he cited the changing status of Korean healthcare. “For decades, Korean doctors have been importing knowledge from Japan and the U.S., but now the tables have turned and they are coming to learn from us,” he said, emphasizing the “age of reversal” in medical technology.

In October, Minish Technology held its first regular Minish Course in the United States. There are 320 dentists who have completed the Minish Course, 67 of whom are Japanese.
Kang’s most important life lesson is “challenge without limits. “I never imagined that my dream of becoming a dentist would lead me to become the CEO of a large company,” he says, “I was able to innovate because I was clear about my goals but didn’t set limits on the process and outcome.”
His advice to younger doctors is to do five things to succeed. These are: a sincere passion for the business; a family-like attitude, where you only provide care you would recommend to your own family; a comfortable environment for both patients and staff; an insatiable technological curiosity; and an “embrace of innovation” that drives new changes.
“Just as Invisalign changed the paradigm of the orthodontic market, we want to make Minish the new standard for the global veneer market,” Kang said of his future goals.
