Minish Technology Receives Investment from Robotics & Design
Minish Technology announced on the 22nd that it has secured an investment of 4 billion won from Robot & Design, a domestic semiconductor robot sales company. The cumulative investment amount is 15 billion won.
The investment comes as the two companies have increased their level of cooperation after signing a comprehensive business agreement in the dental field last October. The two companies have commercialized a milling machine for Minish that applies ultra-precise robotics technology similar to that used in semiconductor processes. Clinical data from Minish, a tooth restoration solution, was utilized to improve precision.
Expansion into the U.S. market is also accelerating. The plan is to establish automated and factoryized laboratories in the U.S. to mass-produce and locally supply laboratories. While a few domestic labs have collaborated with overseas dentists through global lab brokerage platforms, none have entered the U.S. directly.
"The two companies will further expand their investment based on cooperation and trust," said a representative of Minish Technology. "The combination of Minish's ultra-precision machining technology and automation equipment know-how with Robot & Design's know-how in the U.S., the battleground of advanced medical care, is a winning combination."
Minish Technology is a medical technology company that provides Minish, a tooth restoration solution. It researches and develops processing equipment, IT systems, and dental materials necessary for dental operations, and operates the Minish Academy to educate dentists.
