Healthtech company Minish Technology will participate in Hanwha Kimberly’s eco-friendly campaign ‘BI:CYCLE’ and start full-scale ESG management.
Minish Technology announced today that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hanwha Kimberly to establish a hand towel recycling system. This is the first time that a healthtech company has participated in the ByCycle campaign.
The hand towels used in Minish Technology are separated and collected separately and recycled as raw materials for finished hand towel products at Yuhan Kimberly’s Gimcheon plant. Since the hand towels used for wiping only water can be reused as raw materials for products, it contributes to reducing carbon emissions caused by disposal and incineration.
The campaign will reduce carbon emissions by 1.2 tons per year (approximately 1,135 kgCO₂eq), which is equivalent to planting 129 30-year-old pine trees in central China.
A representative from Minish Technology said, “Participating in this campaign will serve as an opportunity for all employees to practice ESG management in their daily lives, and we will continue to expand various eco-friendly activities that consider resource recycling and sustainability.”
