In-office experience-at Optimization Mini Dental Clinic

An externship program for dental students from Chosun University and Pusan National University was held on July 23 at Minish Dental Hospital. Externship is an educational process that allows dental students to observe and experience the actual treatment process at a hospital.
The program was designed to give the students an up-close look at the clinical setting and the opportunity to experience first-hand the Minish treatment system for restoring damaged teeth. Students were given a tour of the hospital to see the actual treatment space and experience the state-of-the-art equipment and digitally enabled treatment environment. Observing actual patient treatments, they were exposed to how the Minish treatment works.
“I was impressed to see the innovative technology that is difficult to see in a university hospital,” said Yang Hee-won, a fourth-year student at Chosun University College of Dentistry. “The step-by-step process of preparing, fitting, and attaching the prosthesis helped me understand it better by comparing it to existing prostheses.”
Dankook University dental students also participated and are planning a training curriculum
Meanwhile, the internship for dental students from Dankook University will begin on the 18th. Minish Dental Hospital will continue to provide opportunities for students to experience practical clinical experiences and differentiated treatment approaches in cooperation with major dental schools in Korea.
“We are planning observation and training programs for trainees at Chosun University Dental Hospital,” said Dr. Kwak Hae-sung, director of Minish Dental Hospital, “to help the next generation of dentists develop a balance of patient-centered philosophy and clinical sensitivity.”
