CEO Jung Ho Kang – ‘Face-to-face’ with new employees
“If I could go back to my 20s, I think I would have traveled more and studied more humanities, not in the sense of making more money and succeeding earlier, but in the sense of studying history and people and war history, because I think that’s what’s going to help you move forward. No matter how advanced AI is, it’s still going to be judged by people. You have to have a good set of values.”
This was the advice given by Mr. Kang Jung-ho at the Minish Group’s ‘Conversation with New Recruits’ held on the 14th floor lounge of Minish Dental Hospital on the 15th. The event was attended by 26 dental hygienists and pneumatology researchers from the class of 2026, who were hired through a competition rate of more than 10 to 1.
The purpose of the program was to have face-to-face communication with representatives who usually do not have the opportunity to meet with new employees. The OX quiz, Q&A, and commemorative photo session were hosted by Hye-yeon Jeon.
The Q&A was conducted in a serious atmosphere. “My 30s were less difficult than my 20s, and my 40s were less difficult than my 30s,” Kang said, adding, “As the company grows, there are more people, so it becomes easier to share the work.”
“I had to overturn the stereotype that thin minishees are fragile, and the hardest people to convince were the people closest to me. I ended up studying physics, which I didn’t do as a student. I guess it’s all in the mindset.”
He also talked about his global vision. “Unlike 30 years ago, Minish is now teaching technology to Japanese doctors, and you are the ones who are doing it,” he said, referring to a seminar in Japan scheduled for the day after the meeting.
“Like you said, I will start reading humanities books from next week,” said Kang Ga-hee, a staff member of the Medical A team. “The most memorable thing I learned is that in the age of AI, we need to understand people.”
“Whenever I came to Seoul and saw the Minish commercials, I felt proud,” said Cheoljin Heo, a researcher at Qigong B. “I want to contribute to the growth of Minish as a global company.”
Mr. Kang also had a message for them. “The tourists were surprised to see your confident and bright faces, which is more real than any company description. I hope you will be proud and stay with us for a long time.”
