Watching her life change after treatment— I want to be a senior like you.

Ji-hee Kang, head of the CS department at Minish Dental Hospital, is celebrating her sixth anniversary. She is a certified dental technician, but she says she is more drawn to sitting down and talking to people.

When I was in dental school, my professor once said to me. “I think you’d be better suited as a people coordinator than a dental technician.” He was right, I was the kind of person who gravitated more towards sitting down and talking to people than precision work.

Starting at the age of 21, I spent five years freelancing at a CS agency while studying, training and managing people. After a life that had nothing to do with dentistry, I decided to follow my passion and started working in dentistry and was fortunate enough to be offered a position as a desk and consultation manager at my first dental practice.

I’ve been working nonstop for over a decade, and when I decided to take a short break and slow down my pace of life after getting married, I found Minish Dental Hospital. Having been born and raised in Daegu and Busan, it was the kind of nice, professional hospital I had envisioned in my mind when I first came to Seoul, and I knew I could apply my experience in various fields.

It’s been six years since we met. During my time as the CS Director, I’ve been able to connect with clients from the heart, and it’s been incredibly rewarding when that connection is made. Above all, the transformation of the clients I’ve seen at Minish has been unforgettable, and being able to watch them go beyond treatment to change their quality of life and love themselves more is one of the greatest joys of being a CS Director.

I still remember when I first came to Seoul to work in a dental clinic. As the head of the CS room, I want to be a senior to my teammates and a small guide in life. I would love nothing more than to be able to provide a warm direction to a junior who joined the company with big dreams and enthusiasm.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank my mentors who have helped me through the tough moments of leading the CS office and helped me stay on track. I will continue to strive to be the kind of person who never loses focus and can fully convey Minish’s philosophy and sincerity to customers and team members alike.
