From April 17 to 22, the group exhibition “Dongshim [同心: 童心]” was held at Leon Gallery, Seongsu Street, featuring Lim Chae-min from the video team. The exhibition was planned and curated by Lim himself, who invited three photographers—Kim Dong-gi, Lee Ji-won, and Park Song-ha—whom he met through his own photography class.
The exhibition centered around two themes: “The shared heart of those who love photography” and “The excitement of returning to a childlike mind.” Through their lenses, the artists looked at the world with the pure curiosity of a child drawn naturally to beautiful things.
In his work “1cm_moment,” Lim captured small, fleeting moments of everyday life in fairy-tale-like tones, expressing that even in a busy and weary life, one can find hidden beauty by pausing for a moment to look around. Meanwhile, artists Kim Dong-gi and Park Song-ha showcased works taken not with cameras but with smartphones, demonstrating that anyone with affection for photography can become an artist. The exhibition attracted a steady stream of visitors, and an event zone and a 4×5 photo booth were also set up. One of Lim’s works was sold, and merchandise such as postcards and keyrings made from the artists’ photos also drew great attention.
Lim said, “I was delighted that so many people enjoyed seeing the world through my eyes, and it was a special and meaningful experience to meet wonderful people through this exhibition.”
