Cumulative production exceeds 230,000 units

The time required to produce 10,000 Minish restorations has fallen below 70 days for the first time. In early July, cumulative production surpassed 230,000 units, shortening the time required to produce 10,000 units to 69 days. This is the result of a steady acceleration in production since the lead time entered the double digits (85 days) last June.
As recently as early 2025, Minish Engineering Research Institute’s production cycle for 10,000 units remained in the 100-day range. However, after entering the double-digit range in June 2025 at 85 days (180,000 units), it steadily shortened to 82 days (190,000 units), 80 days (200,000 units), and 72 days (210,000 units) in February 2026. Although it briefly increased to 76 days (220,000 units) in April, it has now broken through the 70-day barrier, recording 69 days (230,000 units).
The acceleration in production speed was largely due to the large-scale hiring at the beginning of the year. In February of this year, we hired nearly 30 new researchers, and as they were assigned to hands-on tasks, the production cycle was shortened. The division of labor also played a role. By moving away from a system where a single person handled the entire process from start to finish and instead dividing roles by process—such as design, milling, printing, and assembly—both the expertise and speed of each department improved simultaneously.
Improvements to the prep process have also reduced the time required for post-processing by more than 20%. In addition, a new factor has emerged that will further boost efficiency. “Minish Talk,” a digital platform that integrates and manages the entire process of collaboration between clinical and laboratory teams, has been in pilot operation since mid-July. As a result, there is significant potential to reduce rework, delivery delays, and inefficiencies in manual processes. With researchers’ ancillary tasks drastically reduced, laboratory processing time is expected to increase.
Director Jeong Yu-mi said, “We will maximize production volume through continuous facility expansion and process efficiency,” adding, “Based on these structural improvements, we will continue to bring forward the timeline for reaching 10,000 units.”
