Hanwha Kimberly’s BI:CYCLE Campaign to Recycle Hand Towels

Minish affiliated companies, including Minish Technology, Minish Dental Hospital, and Minish Institute of Technology, will participate in Hanwha Kimberly’s eco-friendly campaign ‘BI:CYCLE’ and begin full-scale ESG management. It is expected to be a practical starting point for sustainable management that practices resource circulation and carbon reduction in daily life.
The ByCycle Campaign is Hanwha Kimberly’s flagship ESG project that collects hand towels and recycles them into resources. Large companies such as Naver, Kyobo Life Insurance, and Lotte Department Store are participating.
In the future, Minish affiliates plan to implement in-building hand towel collection systems. They will use recycled hand towels from Hanwha Kimberly instead of conventional products. Used hand towels will be collected separately and recycled through a recycling process to become eco-friendly recycled hand towels.

campaign is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 1.2 tons (about 1,135 kgCO₂eq) per year. This is equivalent to planting 129 30-year-old pine trees in the central region. Specific reduction figures will be available in real time on the campaign webpage, which will be built in the future. It will also be utilized as ESG branding material.
The idea for the campaign came from a mentoring program that the Office of Communications organized with the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). It was the result of sharing the know-how of the mentor company, Hanwha Kimberly, and developing it into a practical ESG action plan. In September last year, we became the first company in the healthtech industry to join the UNGC and announced our commitment to socially responsible management.
“Participating in the Bi-Cycle Campaign will serve as an opportunity to practice ESG management in our daily lives beyond just environmental protection activities,” said Lee Joon, Director of Business Management Office. “Minish affiliates will continue to contribute to the creation of a healthy corporate ecosystem through various eco-friendly activities that consider resource recycling and sustainability.”
