Ji Yong-gu, President of Duzon Bizon (Minish Ambassador), delivered a special lecture on “The Way We Work in the Age of AI” on the 26th of last month, attended by approximately 70 Minish Group employees. The following are the key points.

The answer lies in the word “AI” itself

In “Artificial Intelligence,” the first three letters of “Artificial”—ART—stand for art. For some time now, I’ve had the feeling that art (Art) sits atop technology (Technology). This is why I find myself wondering if the etymology of the term “AI” isn’t derived from the fusion of art and technology. Da Vinci was an artist, a technician, an engineer, and a physician.

In the past, a single person like da Vinci could master all these fields holistically, but after the Industrial Revolution, the division of labor completely fragmented the way we work. However, with the advent of the AI era, a “paradigm shift” is taking place that is once again completely transforming the way we’ve traditionally worked.

What is the current “temperature” of AI?

In a recent TV interview, I was asked, “What is the current ‘temperature’ of AI technology?” I answered, “99 degrees.” While there’s a 1-degree difference between 98 and 99 degrees, and between 99 and 100 degrees, the point at which the state changes is different. Our competitors have already added that one degree to their 99 degrees and achieved the change they aimed for (the boiling point), but if our temperature remains at 55 or 81 degrees, adding that one degree later on won’t make the water boil.

Ultimately, the real lesson the AI era teaches us is that to spark explosive innovation using AI as a tool, we must first heat up our organization’s way of working and digital systems (the base temperature) to 99 degrees in advance.

Important but non-urgent tasks—AI takes care of them

We tend to fall into a “urgency addiction,” where we get bogged down in urgent tasks that need immediate attention and end up putting off the truly important work of preparing for the future. For example, in the past, I would often put off reading a foreign-language research paper because of the hassle and time required for translation. But now, AI does that work for me instantly.

In this way, when AI and systems take care of tedious and repetitive support tasks, we can fully focus on the truly important, essential work
. That’s why I feel like my days now have 36 hours instead of 24. If AI helps you speed up your work by even 10 minutes, that is precisely the kind of AI experience that transforms productivity. Times have changed, and continuing to work with outdated, analog methods is
very dangerous.

It’s not about working “hard,” but about doing it “well”

In the age of AI, what we need are not people who simply “work hard” by relying on physical effort, but those who use AI as a tool to work “well” and smartly. This doesn’t mean we should hand over every task to AI entirely. We must focus on the essential core tasks we do best, while learning to seamlessly integrate AI into areas where we fall short and into the remaining processes.

The Difference Between a Good Company and a Great Company

The AI systems adopted by organizations and those used by individuals—such as Claude, Gemini, and GPT—as personal assistants are not comparable; they simply serve different purposes. Companies that use AI merely to fill gaps remain “Good Companies,” but those that adopt AI to maximize and augment the strengths of both the organization and its employees evolve into “Great Companies.” I hope that all Minish employees will also embrace AI as a reliable partner that takes your powerful tools and strengths to the next level.
